“Begin with the end in mind.” — Dr. Stephen Covey

When Lena Ross and I first started the Agile Change Leadership Institute and
launched the Agile Change Leadership Certificate, that’s exactly what we did. We
designed a course to help leaders confidently lead at the front of continuous change
and agility.

The feedback has been phenomenal — stories of leaders stepping up, teams
transforming, and organisations becoming more adaptable. But there’s always been
one question, often asked with a touch of wistfulness:

“What about our managers and team leaders — the ones who haven’t had any
exposure to change or change management? What do we do for them?”

Until now, we didn’t have a simple answer.
So, we’ve gone back to the beginning.

Back to the foundations of what it means to lead change.

The Messy Middle of Change

We recognised the real challenge: managers and team leaders are often caught in
the messy middle — time-poor, sandwiched between senior leader expectations and
employee needs, trying to make sense of constant change while keeping
performance on track.
They don’t need another dense leadership program.
They need something short, sharp, and practical — something they can actually use.
That’s why we created Change Leader: The Basics.

What You’ll Find Inside

16 bite-sized lessons (4–7 minutes each)
Real-world situations managers face — from uncertainty and downsizing to self-
care and communication
Practical actions leaders can take immediately
And because learning sticks best when it’s shared, every team enrolment includes a
Cohort Learning Guide — a ready-made conversation toolkit that helps turn
individual learning into team capability.

I’ve been exploring all the ways teams are already using it, and the creativity has
been inspiring:

 Starting team meetings with a 5-minute clip and reflection
 Building dialogue into leadership offsites
 Onboarding new managers into change projects
 Using it as a just-in-time toolkit when unexpected change hits

Who It’s For

Individuals who want to sharpen their edge, boost engagement scores, and stand
out from their peers.
Leadership teams who want a fast, shared upskilling in how to lead change well.
Heads of Change, People or L&D who want an off-the-shelf, high-impact way to
build enterprise-wide capability — without spending months creating it from scratch.
(And, as early feedback suggests… it’s proving just as helpful for change
practitioners too!)
