You asked for it. You got it: AI & Agile Change is now part of the Agile Change Manager Certificate.

Over the past year, one question has come up again and again in our Agile Change Manager cohorts, in masterclasses and in conversations with alumni: “What about AI?”

It’s a fair question. Organisations are investing heavily in AI, and change practitioners are increasingly the ones asked to make adoption happen, often with little clarity about the technology, the timelines or what “done” even looks like.

So, we’ve built a new module for the Agile Change Manager Certificate: AI & Agile Change.

Why agile, and why now?

AI-enabled transformation doesn’t behave like a traditional system implementation. The technology keeps shifting, use cases emerge mid-flight, and employee expectations change as people experiment, sometimes enthusiastically, sometimes warily. A fixed plan with a go-live date and a training schedule rarely survives contact with that reality.

Agile change approaches are designed for exactly this kind of uncertainty. They favour short cycles, fast feedback and learning as you go, which makes them well suited to AI adoption.

What the module covers

  • Five agile mindset shifts relevant to AI adoption: the shifts in thinking that help practitioners work with uncertainty rather than against it

  • The identity challenges that shape engagement with AI: why people’s sense of their professional identity can influence how willing they are to engage with AI, and what that means for how you support them

  • Applying agile change practices to an AI implementation: including a worked example so you can see the practices in action, not just in theory

The emphasis throughout is practical. The module aims to help change practitioners move beyond traditional change delivery assumptions and respond to the challenges that AI adoption actually presents.
