Melbourne, Australia – May 2026 – The Agile Change Leadership Institute (ACLI) is pleased to announce that pre-orders are now open for Change. Communication, the fourth book by ACLI Co-Founder and Managing Director, Dr Jen Frahm.

Scheduled for release on 24 July 2026Change. Communication explores one of the most critical yet under-examined disciplines in organisational change: how communication helps people navigate uncertainty, make sense of disruption, and successfully adopt change.

Drawing on more than two decades of research and practice, including doctoral research into change communication and change receptivity, Frahm presents a practical and forward-looking guide for change practitioners, communication professionals, leaders, and transformation teams.

“Communication is having a resurgence in the change profession,” says Frahm. “Many organisations are discovering that more communication does not necessarily create more understanding. This book challenges some of our assumptions and provides practical tools for communicating change in ways that actually land.”

The book combines theory, practical frameworks, and future-focused insights across three sections:

The Past

Exploring the origins of contemporary change communication practices, including the theories and assumptions that continue to shape the profession today.

The Present

Providing practical guidance on audience-centric communication, messaging, leadership communication, communication planning, AI, transparency, measurement, and engagement.

The Future

Examining emerging trends including signal spotting, scenario planning, artificial intelligence, technology-enabled communication, and the capabilities practitioners will need in increasingly complex environments.

A central theme throughout the book is Frahm’s framework of three communication objectives:

  • Monologic communication
  • Dialogic communication
  • Sensemaking communication

Together, these provide a practical lens for understanding what communication is intended to achieve during different stages of change.
