In late 2018 Lena Ross received an email from VMWare’s Chief of Staff for HR. They were on the journey of agile transformation and wanted help with figuring out how to educate and infuse agility and change capability into their HR Leadership teams.
This led to a three phased approach from Lena and Jen.
Provide re-recorded micro clips to prime the audience and get them ready for an in-person immersion.
Lena and Jen flew to Silicon Valley after designing a two-day conference with 100+ global HR business partners and leaders from across all their global locations. They covered the essence of agility, the difference between ‘Big A’ and ‘Little a’ and broke the day up with agile change practices for the large group to practice, such as futurespectives.
The highlight was persuading the VPs to share their 2019 strategy Pecha Kucha style! This led to an incredibly energetic, authentic, and memorable landing of the new strategy.
Involved group coaching after the conference – Lena and Jen ran a series of group coaching calls to review what new practices the HR leaders were now using, what was working well and what needed adaptation. The level of uptake and sustained use was significant. VMware’s HR function were early adopters of agility!
